Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. When she was a kid she was subjected to racial taunts by American citizens of all races. When she attended a 9th grade school audition in which she was praised for her singing as she built confidence. The experience not only increased the confidence of her, but was also a change in the direction she pursued in her career. At the age of 22, she was able to graduate from at the Julliard School of New York. She began her career at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. The character in The Lady of The Lake is her greatest break, earning an award for her performance, an award called the Tony Award in addition to the acclaim of critics for her role. Her fame grew when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. Known as a singer she released her own single and an extended play. In addition, she has been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
